ABOUT SOFTENERWISE
Privacy on SoftenerWise
How SoftenerWise handles calculator entries, Google Analytics cookies, Cloudflare performance measurements, and website request information.
Calculator entries stay in your browser
The capacity and running-cost tools calculate locally. They do not upload the numbers you enter, ask for a household address, or save a calculation in an account. Printing uses your browser’s print function.
Search terms appear in the address
Guide-library searches use a URL query. The search term is therefore included in the page request and may appear in browser history and hosting logs. Avoid putting personal information in a search.
Hosting and request information
Cloudflare hosts the website and serves its content. Network requests necessarily include information such as an IP address, requested URL, browser details, and request time. Hosting and operational logs may process this information for delivery and troubleshooting. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its own processing practices.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand website visits and how people use our pages. Google's tag can set analytics cookies and collect information such as page URLs, referring websites, browser and device details, and interactions with the site. URLs can include search terms or campaign parameters. We do not add calculator input values to analytics events. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
When Cloudflare's Web Analytics beacon is enabled for this domain, it measures visits and page performance. Cloudflare describes this service as not using cookies or local storage to track visitors. Its measurements are separate from Google Analytics. SeeCloudflare's Web Analytics explanation.
Advertising and accounts
This version does not include advertising tags, user accounts, or newsletter signup.
